Notes on the Business Leaders Awards (BLA) and Master Hair&Beauty Awards (MHBA) Application Process

(READ BEFORE COMPLETING YOUR NOMINATION)

Please read the following instructions carefully:

NOTE! Each person who submits an application will receive a graphic with the note "Nomination for the award(s)" that you can post on your social media.

Each person who makes it into the top 10 will receive a graphic with the note "Finalist".

The names of the winners of the competition will be featured in a special issue of Leaders magazine.

The finalists' graphics will be published separately by Leaders magazine and "Hair&Beauty Stars"

The BLA & MHBA Awards Gala will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. 6pm London

All entrants must be aware that in order to qualify as a finalist, they must make every effort to attend the awards ceremony. It is simply not fun when the winners are not present on the night to collect their prizes, it spoils the atmosphere for all who have paid to enter. So make sure you can commit to attending.


You will need to pay an administration fee for each category you enter, each entry form will have the appropriate questions. When answering the questions, focus on the scope of the category you have entered. You can enter for as many categories as you wish. Entries close on 30th May, we must have your completed form by midnight. Any forms received after this date will not be accepted.


Both application and ticket fees are non-refundable, so please consider this before submitting your application. We have administrative staff that we pay to process applications, as well as space fees once we get to the point of confirming guest spaces, so we can't offer any refunds.


NOTE! FOR THOSE APPLYING IN MHBA CATEGORIES:
You can submit up to 3 photos of your work (not photoshopped) and 2 testimonials from clients/newspapers etc. with your application. If you submit more than this, our team will select 3 of the photos submitted, so it's best if you choose your 3 favourites. Photo collages will not be accepted unless they are before and after photos of work done by the same client.

NOTE! FOR THOSE APPLYING IN BLA CATEGORIES:
When filling out your application, focus on describing your company/person.
With the app you can send pictures of your product, customer/newspaper reviews etc.

Add as much detail as possible to your entry to give our judges the best insight into your business and why you should win the award. Tell us about every aspect of your business that you stand out in! Your answers are compared to the answers of other participants, so you have to stand out.



We do not have online voting in our competition because we want to judge all participants fairly. We understand that not everyone has a large number of followers on social media and we do not want this to be the deciding factor in your success. The number of followers does not always reflect the quality and ethics of running a business. That is why we focus on direct contact and evaluation based on the submitted materials. This is the key to the verification and evaluation process.


All judges evaluate the nominations independently and do not know the results of the other judges. Therefore, please do not contact them and do not ask them about the result.

The top 10 in each category will be announced on 25th June 2025.

All tickets will be priced at the standard £160 which includes: entry to the event, a three course meal, welcome drinks, access to the red carpet.

All results are final, if you are not selected as a finalist do not contact the team arguing, simply re-apply next year. We have a huge number of applicants and cannot give individual feedback to everyone.
